For advanced notice of upcoming seminars, fishing reports and what's new join 'The Tight Line' August and September were packed months for seminars.
This seminar proved very popular and a number of people walked away with prizes of Sunline products and one lucky person even walked away with a New Loomis Rod and another a guided bass fishing trip.
Tourism Tasmania's presentation on Fly Fishing in Tasmania was a huge success with standing room only.
Everyone walked away a winner on the night with Tourism Tasmania giving every person a DVD on Tassie Trout Fishing and a hard cover book on Trout.
Another very lucky person also won a Loomis Fly Rod - perfect for the next trout fishing trip! A big thank you to all involved in the night..
September was our Barra fishing in the impoundments seminar.

THINKING LIKE A FISH

From the Cheap Seats: If it looks like a fish and smells like a fish...
I don't know how it happened or what triggered it but in the last two weeks ago I have become one more fish to be ripped apart online.
Instead of playing patiently and waiting for good cards, I am playing garbage hands like A6o in EP.
Instead of raising flops that hit me, I am simply calling my way to the river hoping to catch that two outer when I am beat or thinking he has nothing when he flopped the straight.
I don't think it has to do with thinking that they are worth playing but rather boredom and frustration at the real holes in my game.
Basically, I am like a lost child at the flop when playing with two overcards.
Since this does not happen as often (probably because I am playing some crappy starting hands), it isn't as big a deal but in the end I have to focus on the odds I am getting and play it like I would any other draw.

Dead Fish Surprise - A unique and tasty dessert for kids of all ages!
Overall, the Dead Fish Surprise makes for a delicious snack!!!.
We started discussing common recipes, but, being young, our imagination took over and somehow we came up the idea for a big dessert that looked like a dead fish! .
I know we were both fishermen, but that's it.
and that we had to make it for class! To my surprise, she looked at the plans and said something like, "Oh, I have the perfect recipe!" .
We actually had a secret family recipe for a cookie dough that would puff out perfectly to create a "dead fish" look! Our totally odd idea could actually work out! .
So my mom and I got to work (actually my mom probably did all the work but hey, I was little) and somehow put this thing together that looked like a dead fish.
Now after realizing what I missed out on, I can't believe how I got through all these years without being consumed by my curiosity! If you've never tried Dead Fish Surprise, I suggest you get some ASAP!.
maybe other people would like to try it too.
Wow, I like it! Got any more? Not that I didn't think your cooking would be good, but this is amazing! And you're actually going to give out the recipe a few dollars!?.

Hockey Country: Like shooting fish in a barrel, I know, but I had to
Sunday, November 12, 2006 Like shooting fish in a barrel, I know, but I had to Dwayne Klessel posted this bit on his 'blog':.
'Diminishes us all'?Keeps them honest, more likely.
'Young Steve Yzerman?'Yeah, like maybe at three years old.
Which one of the two goes will likely depend on contract negotiations and who is asking for how much..
I've seen a couple of comments about how Redden-like some of the defensemen are, and there seems to be some consensus on difficulties with toughness and heart to varying degrees.
I like the guy, watched him in college, but he's not what the team needs right now.
