Sea View has been striving to secure the support needed to make this age restricted housing available to Staten Island's rapidly growing senior population.
Sea View Historic Foundation's mission is to restore dignity and grandeur to the magnificent structures that have endured the ravages of time.

Like many HHC facilities, Sea View has a long history.
It opened its doors in 1913 as a sanitarium treating individuals suffering from the most feared disease of the time, tuberculosis.
It was at Sea View, 39 years later, that physicians developed the drug that would ultimately cure the disease..
Sea View's unit for individuals afflicted by Alzheimer's and related dementias provides purposeful activity, consistency and structure, personalized treatment plans and a multi-disciplinary team approach..
Residents and Adult Day Health Care clients have access to Sea View's specialty clinics and Sea View's rehabilitation department offers a variety of physical, occupational, speech and hearing therapies..
Residents and clients enjoy many interesting activities and ongoing special interest programs, such as the Sea View drama club, the gourmet cooking group and horticultural programs in the therapeutic greenhouse.
Sea View also hooks up seniors and the disabled who live at home with its Voice Care Program, a 24 hour emergency response system..
