Bayshore 6800 Sea Pro - A plate boat built to the very latest safety standards and serious bluewater fishing.
Graham and his wife Ann now produce a range of plate boats that goes from 5.5m upwards of eight metres and bigger.
Design: For this test we looked at the most popular model to date, the 6800 Sea Pro Runabout.
Maximum beam is a healthy 2.45m - within the legal trail limit but still providing plenty of room for fishing.
Combined with an extra spray lip on the topsides you get an extra good spray protection.
Another good indication of a good sea boat is the way it hardly feels small wave chop.
Obviously its a different matter offshore when seas are bigger, but Im confident the 6800 Sea Pro will handle these conditions comfortably, and safety.
Other good features include the high windscreen that provides protection even when youre standing behind the wheel.
You get good vision through the screen, which has long side panels to ensure you have good spray/wind protection.
The seat has fore-and-aft adjustment slides and you get a recessed footwell on the bulkhead as well as easy to view instrument panel.
Deck Layout: Working from the stern the Bayshore provides easy access aboard via a foldaway stern ladder, rear landing step and transom door.
I also like the strike seats placed at the back of pedestal boxes.
