Sea Isle officer gets pre-trial program

Sea Isle City Commissioner James Iannone, who oversees public safety, said the city would move to terminate Macrino's employment after consulting its solicitor and the Prosecutor's Office on proper procedure.
Macrino, a full-time Sea Isle City police officer since June 1, 1999, faced as many as 10 years in prison if convicted of the second-degree charge and 18 months for each of the fourth-degree crimes.
He previously served as a seasonal Class I and Class II officer for the resort.
