If you go off season, though, it wasn't as easy to get 'match play' arranged through the tennis center; perhaps due to the fewer number of people around....
We stayed at Sea Colony 2 years in a row (August 2005 and August 2006).
Sea Colony is patrolled by private security and is safe for kids to walk around.

We've been going down to Bethany Beach for over 10 years and in the last year or two it appears as though Sea Colony is putting alot of money back into the facilites.

2007 Rates We were fully booked for the 2006 season.
Recreation/Guest Fee The Sea Colony Recreation Association requires all guests to purchase recreational badges at the cost of $35 per person/per week (children under 4 are free).
Upon final payment, you will receive a Tenant Acknowledgement to present to Sea Colony Recreational Office, located in Sea Colony Marketplace, to obtain badges .
Sea Colony enforces parking restrictions and cars in unauthorized spaces may be towed.
Only owners are permitted to have pets on Sea Colony property.

The structural material for the project is electrolytic concrete made from seawater mineral salts that adhere to steel rebar submerged underwater with a small amount of electrical current applied to the bar.
Over a short time the mineral salts from the seawater accretes onto the steel to form a concrete material.
