West Palm Beach Fishing Club, Silver Sailfish Derby
One thing is for sure, you¹d be hard pressed to find another fishing club that has such a fabled history, as many members, or that is more active than the WPBFC.
Founded in 1934, the WPBFC is one of the oldest sport fishing clubs in the United States, quite possibly the world.
From its inception, the club has been a leader in marine conservation and education.
Did you know that the WPBFC played an important role in the establishment of game fish status for largemouth bass in the 1940's? The club also lobbied for the then radical concept of a saltwater fishing license to help protect marine resources in the 1950's, was responsible for creating the first officially permitted artificial reef in the state of Florida in the 1960's, helped permanently establish the Florida East Coast Marine Laboratory in the 1970's, aided marine scientists with sailfish, kingfish, swordfish and snook research in the 1980's and helped win support for the eventual construction of the Juno Beach Pier in the 1990's.
Today the WPBFC, along with its charitable affiliate the Palm Beach County Fishing Foundation, is focusing efforts on the restoration of the Lake Worth Lagoon.

Fishing in Devon - Crediton Fly Fishing Club
'FISHING IN DEVON' -- Crediton Fly Fishing Club Description We are a small-stream 'fly only' fishing club based in Crediton, a small market town in Devon, nestled between Dartmoor and Exmoor, yet only 7 miles from Exeter.
The Club controls approximately six miles of the Rivers Creedy, Yeo and Culvery, most of which is double bank fishing.
Because of our abundant trout populations, we do not need to stock our rivers, and consequently we are now one of the very few clubs in the South West to be able to offer true wild brown trout fishing.
In addition, the club also leases one and a half miles of the River Taw above Coldridge, which provides excellent sport for wild brown trout with the bonus of a run of sea-trout and the occasional salmon, and also has access to an excellent beat on the River Exe for winter grayling fishing.
In 2004 we also took a lease on a very attractive stretch of the River Culm at Willand which has provided some interesting fishing in its first two years under our stewardship Membership is limited to 100 , but most seasons we have vacancies.
They provide temporary membership and fishing on most of our streams for one day at £15-00, or a 5 day period (Monday to Friday inclusive) at a current cost of £30-00.
