Guide of BABE FISH

Failure Magazine-Archives-Arts & Entertainment-Movie Animals
Landing the lead role in a major animated film was a big break for the percula clown fish Nemo, star of Disney/Pixar's mega-hit, Finding Nemo .
But what about the countless other clown fish and blue tangs that don't possess the rare combination of talent, luck and intangibles necessary to make it in the big sea of the 'Big Screen'? It turns out that Finding Nemo lovers have been darting out to aquariums, hoping to take home their own Nemo and Dory look-alikes.
While fans' hearts might be in the right place, real-life tropical fish may not provide the expected warm and fuzzy experience.
Like most movie stars, percula clown fish and blue tangs are both shiny and beautiful, but neither 'A'-list actors nor saltwater fish can be described as low maintenance.
In fact, saltwater-types require a special habitat different than that of your average goldfish.
If you want your clown fish to feel at home you'll also need to include an anemone or some other partially enclosed hiding place.
According to Phil Scala of Beital's Exotic Aquariums in Pearl River, New York, 'you've got to spend $100 or more for one fish—and that's without the fish.' A percula clown is a relatively inexpensive $15-25, but a blue tang could set you back sixty dollars.

Canoe Trip Planning
There are many places where you can fish from a motorized craft with all the electronic accoutrements of modern fishing.
Generally, the quality of the fishing in such easily accessible areas deteriorates over the years due to a variety of factors, particularly over-fishing and the weakening of natural fish population because of the introduction of hatchery and non-native fish stocks.
Fortunately there are a few places, like the interior of Algonquin Park, where the native fishery remains more or less undisturbed and naturally reproducing.
This is why dedicated fishermen will leave their metalflake bass boats at home and fish from a canoe in Algonquin.
Can I really catch fish from a canoe? The results of canoe-based fishing can be impressive.
We know that several of our staff and customers have caught qualifying fish, but prefer to keep the locations to themselves..
Where are the big ones? The highest quality fishing in the park is in interior lakes and streams, inaccessible by road, where both flying in and outboard motors are prohibited.
If you want to go to these lakes, you are going to have to use a canoe, carry your gear over portages and adjust to life without outboards, fish locators, downriggers and the like.

Water Science & Technology 50:7 (2004) 87-96 - S. Salem et al. - Full-scale application of the BABEĀ® technology
A side-stream process, the so-called BABE® process that incorporates Nremoval and augmentation of nitrifiers has been developed.
The principle is to implement a nitrification reactor in the sludge return line, the so-called BABE reactor.
Hence the nitrification capacity of an activated sludge process can be augmented by the addition of nitrifiers cultivated in the BABE reactor.
A full-scale test of the BABE technology has been at the treatment plant Garmerwolde in Groningen, the Netherlands.
The set-up allowed comparing between three different lines: with the BABE reactor, without rejectwater and with untreated rejectwater.
Based on this, the two important tasks (N-removal and inoculation) performed by the BABE reactor could be quantified.
The results of the practical work in Garmerwolde showed a higher nitrification rate in the water line where the BABE reactor was implemented and also lower effluent ammonia.
The experiments on a practical scale have demonstrated univocally the effective and stable operation of the BABE technology.
In addition, sludge samples in different streams as well as from the BABE reactor were analysed with FISH technique.

The Historical Jesus and the Mythical Christ
Gerald Massey Alternative Religion / Library In their mysteries the Sarraceni celebrated the Birth of the babe in the Cave or Subterranean Sanctuary, from which the Priest issued, and cried:--'The Virgin has brought forth: The Light is about to begin to grow again!'--on the Mother-night of the year.
Hence the Egyptians exhibited the Babe in the Crib or Manger in the streets of Alexandria.
Hence it is called the 'Star of Horus.' That was then the Star of the 'Three Kings' who greeted the Babe; for the 'Three Kings' is still a name of the three stars in Orion's Belt.
In the course of Precession, about 255 B.C., the vernal birthplace passed into the sign of the Fishes, and the Messiah who had been represented for 2155 years by the Ram or Lamb, and previously for other 2155 years by the Apis Bull, was now imaged as the Fish, or the 'Fish-man, ' called Ichthys in Greek.
The original Fish-man--the An of Egypt, and the Oan of Chaldea--probably dates from the previous cycle of precession, or 26, 000 years earlier; and about 255 B.C., the Messiah, as the Fish-man, was to come up once more as the Manifestor from the celestial waters.
